Yesterday, the 16th film festival directed by LIFFE in Leskovac, which took place from September 14 to 19, was solemnly closed. The company IGM MLADOST proudly supported this event and sponsored the acting awards at the festival. During six unforgettable days, Leskovac became the center of film art, where we had the opportunity to enjoy more than 50 films and many accompanying programs. This manifestation was possible thanks to the organization of the Leskovac Cultural Center and the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia, the City of Leskovac and the Film Center of Serbia. The award ceremony and the screening of the film “Eskort” marked the end of this extraordinary festival. The Grand Prix “Živojin Žika Pavlović” went to the director Juraj Lerotić for the direction of the film “Sigurno mjesto”. The second prize for directing went to Pjer Žalica for the film “Praznik rada”, in which our famous actress Branka Katić played a notable role. The third prize for directing was won by director Nina Ognjanović for the film “Ovuda će proći put”. The decision on the winners was made by a jury composed of Damjan Kozole, director, Nenad Pavlović, director and screenwriter, and Ljubomir Bandović, actor. We are proud to have been part of this festival that promotes film art and creativity in our region. We congratulate all the winners and thank all the participants, volunteers and film lovers who contributed to the success of this event. We look forward to future editions of the LIFFE festival and to the continued support of film art.
